Blockers
In general, a blocker is a block of time in which your calendar is not bookable. This only applies to appointments, as events have a set time and place. There are two types of blockers:
- Internal blockers
- Internal blockers are blockers that you create through Bloom Bookings. Manually, you can create an appointment on the top right in the home dashboard or in the Manage Bookings tab. Programmatically, a user can create an internal blocker via the Bookings API.
- External blockers
- External blockers refer to any blocker generated from connecting an external calendar. External calendars can be Google Calendar, Outlook, iCalendar, etc. and cannot be changed from within Bloom Bookings. Bloom Bookings has read-only access to your external calendars’ events in order to determine availability.
